Delegate Anything That You Hate To Do
You may be thinking about delegating some of the "to-do" tasks that seem to fill up your day - and eat up all of your energy.
But how do you decide which tasks to delegate?
The answer is simple. Break you tasks into general types of tasks. If a task falls into one of these general types of task, then it should be delegated.
Delegate anything that you hate to do.
If you hate to do something, why on earth would you spend one moment of your time doing it? Aren’t there plenty of other things that you could be doing – things you actually enjoy doing?
The easiest way to do any task that you hate is to let someone else do it.
We all have parts of our jobs that are less interesting or something that we just don't like doing.
We frequently set those tasks aside - either because it is not a real priority or simply because we don't like doing that task. The result is that we often forget about the task - which causes us to miss deadlines and/or might do work that is less than optimal.
